Holiday Craft Fair a Big Success!
A steady crowd of folks streamed through the parish hall doors last Saturday to peruse the many tables of lovely handcrafted items, cash in hand. There were tables dedicated to Christmas ornaments and red & green fabric trees, bracelets and earrings, creative tile coasters, plants, baked goods and homemade jams, greeting cards, and more!
Chairman of the fair, Deacon Micki, reported that the church made $4,500, all pure profit. Many thanks to the talented craft makers, and an army of volunteers, including the men who cooked the hot dogs and helped set up the food tent and all the tables. The fair was a success due to those who contributed their time, skills and talent, and to all of you who came, spent money and supported the cause! Thank you.

A Message from Mother Vickie
Thank you for your sacrifice in God’s name. In this economy, I understand how difficult it is to pledge, and to give each week, month or year. Notwithstanding, you have shown the strength of your faith with your pledge, which has been blessed, and which God will multiply into many abundant blessings. If you have forgotten to turn in your pledge, it's not too late to be "a cheerful giver" in support of the many ministries of St. David's Church.
Drop off your pledge to Debbie, Parish Administrator, Monday-Thursday, between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or mail it in to:

Calling All Innkeepers!
If you’d like to welcome the Holy Family to your inn for a night, please sign up on the Innkeepers list on the bulletin board in the narthex on Sundays, and in the parish hall during the week. A copy of the sign up sheet is in the journal in the parish hall so you can find where to deliver Mary & Joseph to their next inn.
TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR DAY WITH JOSEPH & MARY! SEND TO MARTE FOR N&V!!
Gail & John Wakeen welcomed the Holy Family into their home last year. The blessed couple also visited a Mexican restaurant and grocery store with other Innkeepers. They were quite adventurous!

Support St. David’s Crushed Can Ministry
Your empty beverage cans can be recycled for cash, which is then used to purchase the plants, flowers and lovely greenery in the Memorial Garden and surrounding our church buildings.
Volunteers are needed now. If you can give an hour or so each week, you’re needed. Please see Pat Knox or Mike Carter to see how you can help. And everyone, keep bringing in your cans! We can all be part of this “growing” ministry.
Making a difference
It seems like every day there is a posting or news article about things we can do that can make a difference. At church there was discussion about discontinuing the can crushing, as it is a lot of work for a little money. Plus we are all getting older and have other ways we are involved at church and elsewhere.
Today I looked at it in a different light. We saved 450 cans from becoming part of a landfill today. That means that once a month we are recycling over 1,700 cans. These cans will be recycled and be used again in another form.
So thank you to all for donating your clean soda and beer cans. You are making a difference, which allows St. David's to make a difference. --Pat Knox
The new liturgical year for the Episcopal Church begins on the first Sunday in Advent, which will be on December 1 this year. The ECW is inviting everyone to celebrate during coffee hour! New Year’s celebration is next Sunday, December 1!
