SERVICES & SERMONS
You are invited to Worship with us with reverence and tradition in the light of the Holy Spirit!
Our Ushers will meet you at the door for our service each Sunday.
Services
Our worship services follow the Episcopal Church framework…a set liturgical ceremony celebrated in every Episcopal or Anglican church throughout the world…based on The Book of Common Prayer with common prayers…common scripture readings based on the Lectionary…and common hymns.
Our Hymns are taken primarily from The 1982 Hymnal and the Renew songbook.
Our Worship centers around breaking bread with each other as Jesus did with his friends…we begin with The Word - readings from the Old Testament, the Psalms, the New Testament and reflections on the Word through a sermon or homily…followed by Common (meaning group prayers with congregation participation) Prayers for the church, the world and those dear to us…followed by wishing each other the Lord’s Peace…followed by presenting the fruits of our life and labor in Offering to God…followed by the Eucharist where we share in the gifts of God…and then we are “sent out of church” to transform Englewood.
Accessibility
We have special places for wheelchairs or walkers in church or you may ask an usher to have the Eucharist brought to you. We have installed a T-foil hearing loop system, and those with hearing aids equipped to accept magnetic signals will hear the service directly through their hearing aid. Check with your audiologist to see whether your hearing aid has this capability. We also have ADA compliant restrooms to accommodate those with mobility issues.
Unable to join us in person due to health?
Licensed Lay Eucharistic Visitors are sent out by the congregation to take the bread and wine to their home(s) for we all "share one body and one cup."
